Most professional musicians can no longer rely on record labels and CD sales to fund their careers. Streaming services like Spotify and iTunes expose artists to new listeners, but without big marketing dollars and millions of streams, steady income from these sources isn't possible.

As a result, musicians are returning to the Renaissance patron model to generate financing for their work. Once again, it is up to those who view art as essential to the human experience to become artistic financiers.

Crowdsourcing culture has proven that many hands make light work. Even with the smallest recurring donation, a patron can contribute to the sustainability of an artist's creations.

If my music has touched you in any way, I invite you to join my musical journey and become my patron. In return, I commit to producing authentic, personal music on a scheduled basis for years to come. Certainly I won't be able to do it without you.

Thank you,

Scott Zuniga
